Warranty Terms and Conditions

Service Warranty - SCOPE

1. When a Service involves the replacement of a product or part, the replaced product or part becomes Chicago Pneumatic property and the replacement product or part becomes your property. 2. The replacement element or element provided by Chicago Pneumatic will be in good working condition and functionally equivalent to the original part. The replacement product or part may not be new. 3. Screw element can be either fully replaced or replaced by refurbished products or repaired based on the condition of screw element.

Customer Responsibilities/Warranty Conditions

1. To avail warranty the product need to be register and sign the SCOPE AIRXTEND agreement within 30 days of commissioning of compressor. 2. Customer shall operate the equipment as defined in Instruction Manual and perform maintenance according to the Chicago Pneumatic maintenance schedule. 3. Perform daily and weekly (8 and 40 hour) inspection on the compressor in accordance with the compressor’s instruction manual (including in the manual’s preventative maintenance schedule). 4. Use Genuine parts and lubricant only. 5. Authorized distributor/Chicago Pneumatic shall conduct a regular service of the equipment as specified in the preventive maintenance schedule. 6. Customer shall provide all necessary assistance to the service engineer to assist it in the performance of its duties under this Agreement by providing (without limitation) lifting facilities, lighting and any necessary electrical source or other necessary utilities. 7. SCOPE AIRXTEND is limited to first owner only.

Exclusions

This SCOPE AIRXTEND – Gold Plan will not include any of the following 1. Electrical/Motors/controller and Wear & Tear parts. 2. Natural wear and tear, improper handling, improper storage or mounting, inadequate protection from corrosion, use and effects of force, condensation due to not following water drain from oil tank, incorrect installation, chemical, electrical or other harmful influences. 3. Chicago Pneumatic is not responsible for the cost of maintenance or repairs/replacement due to the lack of performance of required maintenance services as described in the Service interval of Section 2 or the failure to use parts, oil/lubricants others than specified by Chicago Pneumatic. Performance of the required maintenance and use of proper oil, lubricants and coolant are the responsibility of the owner. 4. To and Fro, travel, boarding & lodging expense of service personnel to attend any kind of service or maintenance.

Termination

This SCOPE AIRXTEND Service Contract shall terminate immediately in the event of any of the following: 1. Improper Installation/Mishandling and failure to follow the Maintenance instruction 2. Not performing the Daily/Weekly checks 3. Non-Genuine parts used in the compressor or repair performed by non-authorized personnel 4. Modification in the compressor package without written permission from Chicago Pneumatic. 5. If Payment due towards purchase of Equipment / parts / Service beyond the agreed payment schedule. 6. In case of long storage without operating the compressor, long storage procedure should be followed and documented 7. Unauthorized repair, replacement or modification of the Product; or altered serial no.

Force Majeure

Either party may terminate this Agreement by written notice if a Force Majeure event affecting the other party continues and has continued for more than three months. For the purpose of this clause a Force Majeure event means any cause beyond the reasonable control of the party affected which shall for these purposes be deemed to include accident, fire, explosion, storm, tempest, flood, strike, lockout, breakdown, Act of God, government action, failure of power supply, inability to procure materials, delayed deliveries by suppliers and industrial action.

Chicago Pneumatic is certified under OHSAS 18001 (Occupational health & Safety (OH &S) Policy, EMS 14001 (Environment Management System) & ISO 9001. Our Service Team will comply with all safety as per OHSAS 18001 & EMS 14001. In case you have any safety related suggestion / instruction, please inform us in advance, Chicago Pneumatic will follow all rules & regulation of industrial safety measures.

Payment Term

Labor – 100% against submission of Proforma Invoice at time of the contract start.
